The delivery within the “Living Water” program, which involves donating of water tanks to the families in the community, was incredibly moving.
Pastor Vicente, the local pastor for Mochila, asked Teddy, a resident who had helped with the brigade back in May to carry one of the tanks to a certain house. As Teddy carried the tank, the pastor guided him, having him walk in circles and go through different areas of the village. Confused, Teddy kept asking, “Where are we going, Pastor?” He just replied, “We’re almost there.”
When Pastor Vicente finally told him to stop, Teddy exclaimed, “But this is my house!” Indeed, the tank he had been carrying was meant for him and his family. Teddy was completely surprised and deeply moved, as he had no idea he was the benefited of the donation.
He first gave thanks to God, explaining that he had been praying for a new tank because his current one was just broken pieces glued together. He also thanked the pastor, MMI, and especially Lifehouse Church, who are the ones who raise the funds for these tank donations.
