Our November projects are usually difficult but very exciting. In October and November, we focus on helping people see better. Because of the environment where they live, many indigenous people suffer from eye diseases like cataracts and pterygium. With this project, we want to help everyone with these vision problems so they don’t lose their sight.
Restoring someone’s vision means restoring their independence and their ability to participate fully in community life. For many elders and families in these indigenous groups, a simple surgery or proper treatment represents the chance to work, create, and look at their loved ones again. This project is not just about medical procedures; it is about building trust, working hand-in-hand with local leaders, and honoring the community’s resilience by protecting their quality of life.
